Managing Director and Chairman
Throughout his career, Paul has executed multiple successful acquisitions across digital media, healthcare, professional services, and technology sectors. Paul was instrumental in establishing the investment strategy for the Automic Group and the investment of Five V as an equity partner in the company.
Paul has had significant operating experience with a broad range of companies, where prior to Automic Group he was Chief Executive Officer of Registries Limited. In 2000, he co-founded the generic pharmaceutical company, Arrow Pharmaceuticals which was eventually acquired by ASX listed, Sigma Pharmaceuticals.
Group Chief Operating Officer
Andrew has a strong track record of transforming teams and growing organisations, where he is passionate about driving success in service and technology companies by simultaneously improving product, operations, and client service.
Prior to Automic, Andrew was the Chief Executive Officer at Ascender HCM, General Manager – Strategy, Planning and Innovation at Coca-Cola Amatil, and has spent a number of years as a consultant with Bain & Company, advising across a broad range of ASX100 companies.
Andrew is also active in the not-for-profit world. Since 2014, Andrew has been a member of the Board of ReachOut Australia, Australia’s leading online mental health organisation for young people and their parents, where he has served as Chair since 2021.
Chief Information Officer
Marcelo is a computer scientist with over 18 years of commercial experience in the IT industry, delivering successful projects for a wide range of companies and industries such as financial services, health, telecommunications and airlines, designing solutions from mobile apps to complex high-load mission-critical web applications.
At Automic Group, Marcelo has led the architecture, design, product development, program management and IT operations of Automic Group’s innovative cloud-based platforms, with a strong emphasis on maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Automic Group’s client data and systems.
Chief People Officer
Kelly is a commercially astute senior leader with over 20 years’ experience in human resource, sales, and marketing executive management roles within highly complex and regulated markets across the technology, biopharmaceutical, medical devices and financial services industries.
Kelly has extensive HR leadership experience and significant change management skills successfully leading M&A integration, organisation design and cultural transformation initiatives. Kelly’s previous work resulted in the organisation being externally recognised as a Great Place to Work. Kelly has also led gender diversity programs which received an Employer of Choice for Women citation.
Chief Marketing Officer
Phillipa is a strategic, innovative and creative marketing leader with over 17 years of experience in global financial services organisations. Her career in financial services has included investment banking, wealth management, asset management and registry.
Prior to joining Automic Group, Phillipa was based in the United States as Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing at PIMCO where she drove innovation and developed new global platforms and growth-focused programs in support of priority strategic initiatives including corporate responsibility, behavioural science and inclusion and diversity.
Chief Customer Success Officer
Andrew is responsible for managing Automic’s Customer Success, Investor Services and Capital Markets teams, and has a strong passion to delight customers in achieving their desired outcomes through outstanding product and proactive service.
Prior to joining Automic Group, Andrew was Vice President, Asia Pacific at Diligent Corporation, where he formed and led multiple high performance customer facing teams across the APAC region and grew revenue 20 x in APAC during his tenure. As the most senior leader in the APAC region, Andrew was also responsible for guiding the region through a number of acquisitions and integrations.
Chief Financial Officer
Simon has 12 years of professional experience across, Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific and Asia. He has a strong focus on financial services covering retail and investment banking, wealth and funds management, superannuation, leasing and insurance.
Simon started his career as an auditor with KPMG Fiji, where he later joined KPMG Sydney Financial Services Audit focusing on key large clients. Simon has also worked for BDO Australia as part of its financial services audit practice set up.
Chief Commercial Officer
Paul is an experienced executive working in Sales, Business Development, Marketing and Operational roles with 30 years of experience. In his current role, he is actively involved in technology and product roadmaps, services positioning, market strategies and business development within the Managed Investment Scheme market.
As a well-versed operator, Paul has held various management positions including Chief Operating Officer at Automic Group, General Manager of Corporate Development at Boardroom Pty Ltd, and has developed and operated two Australian start-up companies in technology and sales environments.
Chief Risk Officer
Blake has approximately 15 years’ experience within the finance and the share registration industry, working across Australian, UK and wider European markets. Blake’s experience extends widely across many aspects of share registration and associated professional support services, both from client relation and operational perspectives, including delivery of many large scale corporate action projects and dividends on client registers up to 2 million holders. Some of the companies Blake has worked with include, Standard Life, BP, TUI Group AG, Legal & General, Wilson Investment Funds, Magellan Funds, Clime Capital, Metcash, Channel 7 and Harvey Norman.
Ben is a high performing and strategic thinking professional who has more than 20 years’ management and sales experience, predominantly in the financial sector. Ben has significant experience in the development, operation and expansion of multiple businesses, dealing extensively with the institutional, government and commercial sectors in a Senior Management & Business Development capacity.
Ben has previously held senior roles with Westpac, Lehman Brothers and BOC Limited, where he applied his strong focus on building successful long-term relationships.
Principal in the Company Secretarial and Finance Divisions
David has over 30 years in governance, company secretarial and finance, where he has been CFO, Company Secretary and/or Director for numerous ASX listed and unlisted public and private companies, in a range of industries including energy retailing, transport, financial services, mineral exploration, technology, automotive, software development, biotechnology and healthcare. Prior to joining Automic Group, David was in the Business Services and Corporate Finance Divisions of PwC, following which he co-founded CFO Innovation, an outsourced professional services business.
David’s experience has included acting for Top 200 ASX Listed entities, foreign companies listed on the ASX and Australian companies listed on the OTC and house-hold names such as Zip, Superhero and AUB Group. David is currently the Company Secretary for Applyflow Limited, Bayrock Resources Limited, COG Financial Services Limited, Cogstate Limited, Exopharm Limited, GB Energy Holdings Limited, IRIS Metals Limited, IXUP Limited, JCurve Solutions Limited, Noxopharm Limited, Nyrada Inc, Superhero Holdings Limited, White Energy Company Limited and Zip Co Limited.
David leads the professional services division (legal and company secretarial) at Automic Group. Under David’s leadership, Automic company secretarial has emerged as Australia’s largest and premier service provider in the outsourced company secretarial space for pre-IPO and ASX listed entities.
David is an experienced corporate lawyer (with particular expertise in ECM and ASX Listing Rules), outsourced company secretary and non-executive director who is a trusted adviser to ASX Boards and management of businesses across a range of industries. In his capacity as lead legal counsel or company secretary, David has acted on dozens of IPOs and reverse listings, and specialises on secondary raisings and providing accurate and timely advice to Boards on governance and ASX Listing Rule matters.
Head of Capital Markets and Investor Services
Ann has specialized within the share registry industry for over 15 years, where her experience covers all aspects of the registry business including capital markets, investor and client servicing, and wider professional support services.
Ann has a strong track record of building exceptional teams who deliver outstanding client-focused results. Ann has worked with a diverse group of clients, ranging from ASX20 through to many other list and unlisted entities. This includes many listed managed funds such as Perpetual, Qualitas Group, Clime Capital, Magellan and Cadence Capital.
Head of Strategy and Corporate Development
Prior to joining Automic, Richard was Strategy and M&A Director at Probe Group, responsible for growth and M&A. He was previously a Director with UBS Australia’s investment banking division, and a strategy consultant at Booz & Company, where he collectively spent 10 years advising a broad range of ASX200 and private equity clients.
Head of Product
Throughout his career at Automic, Max has moved between various operational teams within the registry team including listed companies and more recently, managed investment schemes. During this time, he was instrumental in the early stages of bringing this new facet of registry to life and is passionate about improving the experience and functionality for Automic clients and security holders along with driving efficiency for the operational teams.
Prior to joining Automic Group, Max spent time at Macquarie Group in Sydney after an internship in London working at Cove Investment Partners.
