Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer
Paul is an accomplished business leader with twenty years’ experience spanning general management, senior leadership and board roles across companies in the registry, pharmaceutical and health sectors. He is experienced in managing teams, driving corporate growth and executing successful sale and exit strategies, as well as overseeing change management and company integrations. He has extensive knowledge of data and technology platforms, and an in depth understanding of commercial value that proprietary software systems hold for businesses.
In Paul’s current role as Managing Director of the Automic Group, he is focussed upon building Australia’s first truly technology driven professional services offering.
Astrid has more than 20 years’ experience building and managing teams across internationally recognised organisations such as Baker McKenzie and KPMG. As Executive Director, Astrid is focused on facilitating the implementation of strategy and growth initiatives to drive an increase in Automic’s footprint in the market both internally and externally. Astrid has facilitated the engagement of Thrive Global into the organisation that promotes work-life balance and well-being as the key triggers in high performance. She is also enthusiastic and involved in Automic’s strategic vision for the future, involving the design and development of new technology opportunities.
David is a Chartered Accountant, Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia, Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia, Justice of the Peace, Registered Tax Agent and holds a Bachelor of Economics (Finance and Accounting) from Macquarie University. With over 25 years in finance and governance (including Company Secretarial and Corporate Finance), David has been CFO, Company Secretary and Director for numerous ASX listed and unlisted public and private companies, in a range of industries covering energy retailing, software as a service, transport, financial services, oil and gas / mineral exploration, technology, automotive, software development, wholesale distributions, retail, biotechnology and healthcare. He has acted in these capacities for Top 200 to small-cap companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, including for companies with OTC listings.
Andrew is a corporate lawyer with a particular focus on ASX listed companies. Over the past decade Andrew has been involved in dozens of transactions, including reverse takeovers and IPOs across a wide range of industry sectors, with an emphasis on technology, health & medical and mining companies. He is widely regarded as Sydney’s leading specialist in delivery of legal services to ASX listed companies and has steered dozens of them through listing, raising capital, mergers & acquisitions and disposals of business. Andrew has an excellent relationship with ASIC and ASX officers, as well as with Sydney’s leading bankers and brokers.
Ben is the founding director of Automic Group. He is a high performing and strategic thinking professional who has in excess of 20 years’ management and sales experience, predominantly in the financial sector.
Ben has significant experience in the development, operation and expansion of multiple businesses, dealing extensively with the institutional, government and commercial sectors in a Senior Management & Business Development capacity. He has previously held senior roles with Westpac, Lehman Brothers and BOC Limited.
Ben holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a post graduate qualification in Applied Finance & Investment (FINSIA).
Marcelo Dantas is a computer scientist with over 19 years commercial experience in the IT industry. Marcelo has delivered successful projects over a wide range of industries such as financial services, health, telecommunications and airlines designing solutions from mobile apps to complex high-load mission critical web applications. As the Chief Information Officer of Automic Group, Marcelo has led the architecture, design, product development and IT operations of Automic Group’s innovative cloud based platforms with a strong emphasis in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Automic Group’s client data and systems.
