In 2021, ASIC introduced the requirement for all company Directors to hold a Director Identification Number (DIN). From 5 April 2022, Directors appointed for the first time must apply for their DIN prior to their appointment. Directors appointed on or before 31 October 2021 must apply for their DIN before 30 November 2022.
