Automic Platform Update | What’s new at Automic: more share plan offers in one workflow, and a look ahead

Written by Nilendra Fonseka - Principal Product Manager | 5 November 2026

Our latest updates streamline the share plan offer journey for administrators and participants, delivering a more transparent, self-service experience with greater flexibility over participant groups and trading blackouts. Employee share sale clients whose main registry sits elsewhere can now benefit from automated registry transfers, while a refreshed Registry Issuer Portal experience makes reports and key information easier to find through improved navigation and accessibility.

Employee Share Plans

Simpler offer experiences for administrators and employees

We’ve improved the experience for both plan administrators and employees.

For plan administrators: Restricted Share Plans, Options, Rights and Contribution Plans can now all be run through one consistent workflow on the new Offer Management screen, so there’s no need to switch between processes for different plan types. A live election dashboard shows who has accepted, declined or is yet to respond, so you can follow up before an offer closes. Offer Acceptance reports can be run on demand or scheduled, keeping stakeholders informed without anyone having to pull the data manually.

For employees: Whatever plan they’re invited to, employees get the same clear, consistent offer experience. New participants can record their election straight away without registering an account first, so nothing stands between receiving an offer and responding to it. It’s a fully self-service experience from start to finish.

Keep employees informed at every step of their share transfer

Where Automic provides your employee share sale service and another provider is your main registry, employees can now request a share transfer online and track its progress through to completion. Status updates, transfer milestones and email notifications keep employees informed along the way, giving them greater visibility while reducing follow-up queries for your plan administrators.

Transfers currently cover the employee’s full vested and exercised balance. Sale and transfer blackout rules can now also be managed separately, so eligible transfers can go ahead when only sales are restricted.

Tailor rules to different participant groups

You can now create participant groups for directors, key management personnel, other insiders or employees in different countries and apply trading blackouts to one group, not the whole plan. This is particularly useful for larger companies with employees across multiple countries where tax obligations, reporting requirement and deadlines can differ. Each group can then be managed according to its own plan rules, reporting requirements and deadlines, without one approach applying to everyone.

Please contact your Employee Share Plans manager for more information about the new Offer Management functionality or for help setting up participant groups and trading blackouts.

Company Registry

A clearer, more secure Issuer Portal

We’ve refreshed the Registry Issuer Portal to make everyday information easier to find. Improvements include collapsible navigation, clearer charts and easier access to scheduled and generated reports. We’ve also improved navigation for customers managing parent issuers.

The Issuer Portal now also runs on newer libraries and modern technology for improved security, stability and performance. Your login, portal link, permissions, reports and calculations will all stay the same, and so will your core workflows.

Additional language support in the Investor Portal

We’re building the foundations for the Investor Portal to support additional languages in future, with share plans that span multiple countries in mind. For now, English is the only language available. We’ll confirm supported languages, the areas they cover and timing in future platform updates.
